Disclaimer &
Service Information

This page explains what the platform and related services are, how access is scoped, and what they cannot do. We have written it to be read — not to hide behind length. If something is unclear, contact us.

01 Nature of Service

Investigation Technology, Not Legal or Financial Advice

Chain Trace Labs provides investigation technology, blockchain analytics, evidence and workflow tools, OSINT support, monitoring, integrations and analytical outputs. Unless separately agreed in writing, nothing produced or communicated through the platform constitutes legal, financial or investment advice, expert testimony, or a guarantee of any outcome.

The platform organises and analyses available blockchain records, authorised case submissions and relevant supporting intelligence. Outputs are decision-support materials: users remain responsible for validating findings, applying professional judgement and determining any legal, regulatory, operational or recovery action.

Use of this service does not create a solicitor-client relationship, a financial adviser relationship, or any professional relationship that carries regulated duties of care. For regulated professional advice — legal, financial, or otherwise — you should engage the appropriate licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

02Access, Scope & Fees

Commercial Terms Are Matched to the Engagement

Chain Trace Labs supports individual cases, firm workspaces and enterprise or API arrangements. Commercial terms are tailored to the relevant engagement. The relevant functions, users, case or usage limits, support, delivery expectations, fees, billing basis and renewal terms are confirmed before the paid engagement begins.

Our scope and fee commitment:

Material commercial terms are stated in a proposal, order form, consultation summary, authorised checkout or in-platform confirmation. We do not add material charges retrospectively. Recurring, usage-based or renewal charges apply only when expressly agreed. Community grants, sponsorships and contributions are separate from commercial platform access and do not influence case findings or priority.

03 No Recovery Guarantee
This service does not guarantee the recovery of lost or stolen cryptocurrency under any circumstances.

Our service provides tracing intelligence and documentation. It does not — and cannot — reverse blockchain transactions, compel exchanges to return funds, or guarantee any financial outcome whatsoever.

Fees relate to the agreed platform access, analytical work, workspace functions, support, integrations or outputs described in the applicable engagement. Their value lies in the investigation capability and decision support provided. Recovery, where it occurs, depends on external action such as exchange cooperation, legal process or law-enforcement intervention.

A failure to recover assets does not by itself establish that the platform or agreed service was not supplied. Cancellation, refund, credit and termination rights are governed by the applicable proposal, order form, workspace terms and mandatory law; they are not determined by whether an external recovery outcome occurs.

If you are unsure which access route or service is suitable, contact us before committing. Intake and consultation help identify scope and limitations, but do not guarantee that useful or actionable findings will be available.

04 Data & Accuracy

Data Sources, Outputs and Their Limits

Outputs may draw on public blockchain records, authorised case submissions, configured integrations, OSINT sources and maintained intelligence datasets. Sources differ in availability, timeliness and reliability; outputs should be reviewed in context and independently verified before consequential action.

Source of data

Public blockchain networks (Ethereum, Bitcoin, BNB Chain, Tron, Polygon, and others). This data is openly accessible to anyone. We read, structure, and interpret it — we do not create or alter it.

Entity identification

Where a report associates a wallet with a service or entity, the finding may draw on available on-chain evidence, maintained intelligence records and case context. Attribution can be incomplete or change as new evidence becomes available, so the report should be read together with its confidence, source context and limitations.

Completeness of trace

We trace to the furthest point the on-chain record supports. Where funds pass through a mixer, cross-chain bridge, or privacy coin network, the trace may terminate at that point. This is not a limitation of our service — it is a limitation of what the public blockchain record makes visible.

Timeliness

Blockchain and supporting intelligence sources have different update cycles, coverage and availability. A newly activated, unlabelled or privately managed address may not be identified during the current review. Where relevant, the output should state when information was retrieved and whether follow-up or monitoring is appropriate.

Not forensic expert evidence

Our reports are analytical documents for informational use. They are not certified forensic reports and have not been produced by a court-appointed expert. For proceedings requiring expert witness testimony or formal forensic evidence, engage a certified blockchain forensics professional.

05 Limitation of Liability

What We Are and Are Not Responsible For

These limitations exist because the nature of our service — reading and interpreting public data — does not give us control over outcomes that depend on third parties, legal systems, or the behaviour of external entities.

Recovery outcomes

We are not liable for failure to recover funds. Our service delivers trace analysis — recovery depends on law enforcement, legal action, and exchange cooperation, none of which we control.

Decisions made using outputs

Decisions made by users in response to platform outputs are their responsibility. We provide information and guidance — not instructions. We are not liable for the outcomes of those decisions.

Third-party actions

We are not liable for the actions or inactions of exchanges, law enforcement bodies, legal professionals, or any other third party to whom users present our reports.

Unidentified addresses

An unidentified wallet does not establish that the address is benign or unactionable. Available attribution is reviewed on the evidence returned at the relevant time, and unresolved addresses may require monitoring, additional evidence or specialist review.

Platform unavailability

We are not liable for service interruptions, delivery delays caused by factors outside our control, or temporary unavailability of blockchain network data from third-party sources.

Consequential or indirect losses

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we exclude liability for indirect, consequential, incidental, or punitive losses arising from use of this service.

In all cases, our total aggregate liability to any user shall not exceed the amount paid by that user for the specific service that gave rise to the claim.

06 Scam Warning

Impersonation & Second-Scam Risk

People who have lost cryptocurrency are frequently targeted by a second fraudulent approach. This often takes the form of someone impersonating a legitimate service — including this one — and offering recovery for upfront payment.

We will never contact you unsolicited

We do not make outbound contact via Telegram, WhatsApp, Instagram, Twitter/X, or any social media platform to offer our services. If someone contacts you claiming to be us and offering help, they are not us.

Our charges are always stated upfront, in full

Material fees and billing terms are confirmed before the relevant paid work or access begins. Additional scope or usage requires written agreement or an authorised in-platform action.

We never ask for crypto payments to "unlock" funds

Any service asking you to send cryptocurrency to release, recover, or verify your funds is a scam without exception. Our charges are paid through conventional payment methods — not crypto.

We never ask for seed phrases or private keys

Under no circumstances will any representative of this platform request your wallet seed phrase, private key, or exchange password. Anyone doing so — regardless of claimed affiliation — is attempting theft.

If you encounter someone impersonating this platform, report it to us at legal@chaintracelabs.com and independently to your national cybercrime reporting body.
